The CSC’s mission is to promote contemporary dance and young talents. It pursues this aim through a network of important international collaborations which has led to choreographic research, supporting creations and artistic mobility projects with some of the most important contemporary dance centres: The Place (UK), Dansateliers (NL) Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid (ES), Dansescenen (DK), Zagreb Dance Center (HR), The Dance Center - Vancouver, Circuit Est - Montreal (CA), SNDO (School for New Dance Development) and Melkweg Theatre in Amsterdam, Accademia Mobile ICKamsterdam (NL). CSC is member of Aerowaves, which is a network involving organisations of all the European Union countries and in the last few years, it especially contributed to the international promotion of young Italian choreographers. A particular collaboration has been started with the Alexandrine Library and the Egyptian Independent Theatre Festival. This partnership is intended to support cultural dialogue through contemporary dance languages, and to bring Italian young authors closer to artists coming from the middle-eastern and north-African area.
