The Festival’s theatre events in Bassano are staged in the Ezzelini Castle within the Museum Courtyard, the botanical gardens of Giardino Parolini, and in the ancient barracks of Caserma Cimberle Ferrari. These features in Bassano shine forth even before the stage lights come on. Every detail speaks of the splendour of the middle ages which lifted the town to noble heights, building it on the last hill at the base of the majestic mountains which protect it to the north like a corolla. Cut into two by the Brenta River, and joined together by the Palladian Ponte Vecchio, the town’s profile is marked by castles and high rising towers.
