The Municipality of Loria, officially instituted on December 22, 1807, nestles in the western end of the Treviso plain, close to the provinces of Vicenza and Padua. The territory’s main characteristics lie in its intense nursery garden productions, with an important and rich market display held in the locality of Bessica every second Sunday of March, every year.
The Library is in Via Chiesa in Loria’s historical centre. The structure comprises a building designed by Engr. Angelo Monico in 1893, assigned as the Town Library, and a hall for cultural activities and a big garden.
Villa Baroni – locality of Bessica
This is a nineteenth century Venetian building, still traceable in some way to the works of the architect Palladio. The main building is impressive with a garden and annexed barchessa restrooms.
Villa Jonoch – locality of Ramon
This building has an eighteenth century façade and stucco decorated interior. Recently extended, its northern façade preserves its original style. It has a big garden which offers a beautiful view of the structure.
