Rising on the alluvial plains and freed from the waters of the Brenta river, NOVE is known for its artistic ceramic productions. Its historical centre developed on the ancient banks of the river, giving an unusual urban shape to the central De Fabris square where the line of houses look to the east. Its civic Ceramics Museum is a must, along with the Astronomic Observatory and the Brenta river-park.
Piazzetta del Museo Civico
The central nucleus of the town is the nineteenth century building, the De Fabris palace, already a school of art and museum. Covered by a modern tensile structure it has become a cosy “living room” for theatre and musical events.
Giardino di Villa Barettoni
A vast green area, Giardino di Villa Barettoni is privately owned and is right in the historical centre, part of the most ancient ceramic factory in Nove, still active today. From the garden one can see the buildings of the historical remains of the Antonibon factory, now called Barrettoni.
