Roberta Racis presents a site-specific version of her work Atto Bianco, rethought for the spaces of the Church of San Giovanni. Dance, voice and song synergistically structure the action, composing a tribute to the maternal and the white act of romantic ballet starting from a reflection on the elaboration of mourning. The white act is generally the second act of shows whose libretto narrates events between the world of the living and an otherworldly dimension. These are acts in which, after the death of a character, usually female, the afterlife manifests itself in the form of immaterial creatures dressed in white, who appear at night and are the representation of altered states of consciousness, of loss of boundaries between real and imaginary, between hallucination and dream, between life and death. The white act is now predisposed to an investigation like that of Roberta Racis who reflects on the feminine by making the personal investigation on fragility and mourning explode in a wider series of possibilities.
