Circus, magic and celestial mechanics
National Premiere

After twenty-five years of research and experimentation in the field of contemporary circus, Giacomo Costantini creates his first solo work. An intimate and ambitious piece that fuses circus, music, illusionism, and literature to investigate the human nature of Desire.

Desire is a paradox: it resides in our deepest intimacy, yet it is an alien force that we cannot govern, a drive that leads us out of ourselves toward a potentially wonderful and terrible elsewhere. The entire show is punctuated by the trajectory of a shooting star, inhabiting that very moment of light and expanding it. Two characters alternate on stage through visual metamorphoses and transformations managed with ingenious illusionistic techniques. Through them, two dramaturgical lines are defined that intersect while using profoundly different languages: on one hand, there is a magician who entertains the audience in a sort of spectacular convention dedicated to the philosophy of desire; on the other hand, there is the world of Ernesto: a dreamlike place not subject to the laws of physics, the realm of the unconscious.

Duo Kaos is an Italian-Guatemalan contemporary circus company born from the meeting of Giulia Arcangeli and Luis Paredes. The language and techniques of the circus, choreographic research, the symbolic value of specific scenic elements, and the search for original music and sounds are the expressive elements of an evocative poetic style.

Time to Loop is a story of movement and transformation, where building and destroying are part of the same mechanism, and each character, in their own way, seeks support and their complement to bring chaos back into harmony. It is a game in sync, where balance is a constant that leads one beyond their own boundaries—a decomposing and recomposing of the possibilities of grip, attachment, and detachment necessary to trigger a new action. With lightness of heart and romantic momentum, both characters finally understand that one cannot replace the other, but that together they can create the perfect loop.
