A spectator, a performer, an iPod and two pairs of headphones: ÉCOUTE POUR VOIR is an artistic experience that connects people through the sharing of a song.
Connected through dance and movement, performers and audience give life to singular encounters, where each brief exchange turns into an intense dialogue, an interaction that is both unique and intimate.
ÉCOUTE POUR VOIR is a project by Médiation Culturelle of the Danse Carpe Diem company, which originated in Montréal in 2009, and in 2022 won the prestigious Prix à la Collaboration Internationale de Cinars award. After having traversed numerous cities and continents, it arrives for the first time in Italy curated by Chiara Frigo.

In a suspended balance, a front line advances inexorably, creating a dystopian space. Absurd or banal, a series of objects escape, like vestiges or traces of our passage on earth. Gush is Great is a tribute to slowness and simplicity in the face of generational anxieties. A real choice, almost political: relearning to dilate time, fighting against the speed of relationships with things and people, choosing sobriety, making movement full and simple, without emphasis.
In 2023, the second edition of De l'impertinence, an artistic and cultural laboratory in Sète (France), brought together artists from different backgrounds, from the Paris Opera Ballet to the Dance Conservatories of France, contemporary dance schools such as PARTS and the CCN of Roubaix, to training programs in France and Spain. These artists do not define themselves as a collective, but rather form an ecosystem, where some participate in the projects of others, also creating a space for support, collaboration and creativity.

Roberta Racis presents a site-specific version of her work Atto Bianco, rethought for the spaces of the Church of San Giovanni. Dance, voice and song synergistically structure the action, composing a tribute to the maternal and the white act of romantic ballet starting from a reflection on the elaboration of mourning. The white act is generally the second act of shows whose libretto narrates events between the world of the living and an otherworldly dimension. These are acts in which, after the death of a character, usually female, the afterlife manifests itself in the form of immaterial creatures dressed in white, who appear at night and are the representation of altered states of consciousness, of loss of boundaries between real and imaginary, between hallucination and dream, between life and death. The white act is now predisposed to an investigation like that of Roberta Racis who reflects on the feminine by making the personal investigation on fragility and mourning explode in a wider series of possibilities.

Seeking to break out of anthropocentric automatisms in their search for movement, Demestri+Lefeuvre investigate in Troisième Nature the possibility of translating non-human movements through the body. They bet on the possibility of a body becoming a landscape, a surface for the inscription of different ways of existing. They therefore represent an exploratory journey that aims to translate non-human movements through the body. At the centre of a device around which is the audience, a sensitive, non-anatomical body is recomposed, made of a mirroring surface that accompanies the spectators on a journey through the randomness of forms.
Rather than a choreographic phrasing or a defined physicality, the images follow one another, evoking the phenomenon of pareidolia - that spontaneous transformation of the visible that can make us see a horse in a cloud, or a mountain range in patches of humidity. A modelling material that eludes any prefabricated interpretation, the metamorphosis of this ‘third nature’ is a movement of living poetry.

The Sun, symbol of strength and energy, and its cyclical nature give Daniele Albanese the inspiration for this show. Appunti per il sole is placed on a sensorial level, trying to bring the relationship between the observer and the actor back to a primordial level. On stage, two performers develop a language made of repetition, accumulations and variations, creating a written but always unexpected dance, and a musician weaves a dizzying musical structure, with cycles of speed and intensity in progressive growth, and with intervals of sudden suspension. The result is an investigation into time, energy and the very nature of dance.
