Drawing on the rich history of the Bolero as both social dance and musical form, this work reimagines Ravel’s iconic composition through a contemporary choreographic lens. A dynamic collection of movement motifs unfolds through repetition, variation and accumulation, echoing the score’s hypnotic structure while opening new expressive possibilities. Bridging popular tradition and theatrical refinement, the piece celebrates dance as a living, evolving language shaped by cultural exchange and transformation.
