Waterkind explores the interaction and connection between two bodies in the absence of direct physical contact. Inspired by the movements of water flows and currents, and combining elements of freestyle and popping, Waterkind is shaped as a meditation on receptivity, proximity, and space. How is it possible to experience, through improvisation, the feeling of connection and mutual understanding of the next movement? Proximity and distance both prove fundamental, with constant attention to vibrations and responsiveness. Individual explosions and sudden shifts emerge while the performers maintain a close and continuous relationship. Each subsequent movement depends substantially on the previous one. Water serves as the inspirational matrix for the construction of flows and currents, integrated with freestyle and elements of popping, giving rise to a specific physical material that structures the work.
