Tombak, live-electronics, voice Joss Turnbull

This solo performance by percussionist Joss Turnbull explores rhythm as a force of vertigo, tension and expanding sonic space. Centered on the tombak, a Middle Eastern goblet drum, the work extends traditional percussive language through live electronics, voice and unconventional materials, generating a sound field in constant transformation. Oscillating between minimal structures and dense sonic eruptions, it unfolds as an immersive exploration of resonance, where percussion becomes both physical gesture and evolving acoustic architecture.
