La tradizionale creazione per i dancers di Dance Well, la pratica per persone con Parkinson ma aperta a tutta la comunità, pluripremiata a livello nazionale e dal 2022 anche progetto europeo sostenuto da Creative Europe, è affidata quest’anno all’artista della danza Chisato Ohno, che creerà una partitura movement based ispirata ai linguaggi della danza di cui è esperta, dando ai dancers una nuova opportunità di esplorazione dei linguaggi della danza contemporanea.
Dopo essersi diplomata alla Central School of Ballet, Chisato Ohno ha danzato con il Netherlands Dans Theater, e con la Batsheva Dance Company, e ha lavorato con coreografi come Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Mats Ek e Sharon Eyal. Attualmente è un’artista e insegnante residente a Londra, dove insegna alla London Contemporary Dance School e alla Rambert School, oltre a tenere corsi professionali.

This year’s creation for dancers of Dance Well, contemporary dance practice for people with Parkinson’s and open to the whole community, also European project since 2022, is entrusted this year to the dance artist Chisato Ohno, who will create a movement-based score, giving dancers a new opportunity to explore different languages of contemporary dance.
After graduating from Central School of Ballet, Chisato joined Netherlands Dans Theater 2 where she performed works by Jiri Kylian, Hans van Manen, Johan Inger, Paul Lightfoot, Gideon Obarzanek and many others. She continued to become a member of Batsheva Dance Company performing many works of Ohad Naharin and other choreographers including John Jasperse, William Forsythe, Mats Ek and Sharon Eyal. She then joined Karas Company of Saburo Teshigawara for two creations and tours of other repertory. Chisato returned to London and has been teaching Gaga since 2005. She teaches regular Professional classes in London and has taught company class for Akram Khan Company, Hofesh Shechter Company, Punch Drunk, Stopgap, Clod Ensemble, New Adventures, Lost Dog and others. She has been a member of faculty at the London Contemporary Dance School since 2013 and joined the Rambert School faculty in 2020.

Manifesto Cannibale, nuova produzione del CollettivO CineticO guidato da Francesca Pennini, nasce da una riflessione sul mondo vegetale ed è una ricerca sul tempo, sul gioco, sull’insieme di codici e convenzioni che alimentano l’atto performativo. Manifesto Cannibale è uno strano organismo. È nato anziano. Si è reincarnato molte volte e in molti corpi. È mutato in altre forme. La sua creazione è stata abbandonata dall’autrice, Francesca Pennini, che si è tenuta in una condizione di cecità affidando la messa in scena a un sistema di comunicazione filtrato solo da indizi poetici. Eseguito dal vivo, il ciclo di Lieder Winterreise di Franz Schubert, orchestra il rito di trasformazione dei corpi: dormire e svegliarsi, prendere luce, farsi osservare e, forse, trovare nell’immobilità nuove forme di romanticismo.

Manifesto Cannibale is a strange organism. It was born old. It has been reincarnated many times and in many bodies. It is mutated into other forms. Its creation was abandoned by the author, Francesca Pennini, who kept herself in a condition of blindness entrusting the staging to a communication system filtered only by poetic clues. A ghost author who signs something she doesn't know and is not allowed to watch.
We prepare for the apocalypse in many ways. What is the right song for the end of humanity? How do the minutes before extinction sound like? What would you like to hear? You can offer the perfect music for your very own apocalypse of the species. This playlist will become the engine of the last scene. Yopu can direct the orchestra of bodies in a sound bacchanal outside of any algorithm, a collective disco-forest between lullabies and Armageddon, between requiems and rave parties.

Fuori luogo, a-topos, déplacée. Una presenza fuori posto, “ sempre nel posto sbagliato” nelle parole di Edward Said, che non trova spazio né all’origine né all’approdo. Questo essere a-topos secondo Abdelmalek Sayad è una delle caratteristiche ricorrenti dell’esperienza migratoria, che configura una percezione di sé nella “doppia assenza” tra il luogo d’origine e quello di approdo: lo sradicamento e l’assenza dal Paese, il bled, accompagnata dal sentimento, sull’altra riva del Mediterraneo, che una volta “arrivati" in Europa, non si è mai interi da nessuna parte. Né qui né altrove. Dove siamo, non siamo noi stessi; dove eravamo, non siamo più. Tutti noi, persone che hanno attraversato una diaspora, cerchiamo quello che abbiamo lasciato di noi stessi nel nostro Paese d’origine, senza trovarlo qui, nel Paese d’arrivo. Non siamo né qui né lı̀, intrappolati tra due lingue, due culture, passato e futuro, alla ricerca di uno spazio identitario, che è invece presente e altro, e che continuamente oscilla tra i due poli. Barrani in tunisino è lo straniero, letteralmente “quello viene da fuori (el barra)”, chi ha intrapreso il viaggio verso l’Europa. A tutti noi, generazione della diaspora, cittadini europei non nativi, è dedicato questo lavoro di ricerca, un interrogarsi, individuale e collettivo, sulla partenza e sull'arrivo, sul desiderio e sui suoi limiti, sul qui da costruire e sul là come memoria, un presente nostalgico e un futuro pensato come un ritorno al passato. Stabilità, mobilità, cosa porto con me e cosa lascio indietro. Nostalgia, esilio, la lingua madre sono alcuni dei colori di un viaggio in un tempo non lineare, dove la presenza è duplice e connessa, la memoria un rifugio e il corpo un archivio di ritualità gestuali che fanno casa. Un lavoro di ricerca, indagine, che sviluppa nello spazio del performativo un luogo di creazione e riscrittura: attraverso lo studio di diversi strumenti digitali che permettono la riproduzione del sé in differita, Barrani è una performance - concerto dove danza, parola poetica e multimedialità permettono una nuova scrittura per sé, tra presente, passato e futuro, in uno spazio terzo e mediano che è tra i due poli del viaggio e che non esiste se non nel tempo della performance: lo spazio della narrazione.
Corps Citoyen è un collettivo artistico pluridisciplinare basato tra Tunisi e Milano. La pratica del collettivo si compone di diversi strumenti disciplinari (danza, teatro, poesia, video, animazione, scrittura e ricerca antropologica) per creare nuove narrazioni contemporanee.
L'obiettivo del gruppo è quello di rafforzare i valori della cittadinanza attraverso la pratica artistica, la formazione, la ricerca e la partecipazione attiva della società civile al Gine di promuovere un cambiamento politico e sociale. Corps Citoyen perché l'obiettivo principale del gruppo è quello di attivare la riGlessione sociale attraverso le potenzialità espressive dell'arte e del corpo in particolare, territorio di una battaglia biopolitica e spazio per una resistenza creativa.
Corps Citoyen è una piattaforma collettiva, dove trovano casa progetti condivisi e multidisciplinari, ma anche lavori individuali degli artisti del gruppo in collaborazione con altri artist* e professionisti.
